January

Back to reality after the excesses of the christmas and New Year period. Throughout the month, had the kind of weather that is not conducive to leaving the house.

  • Over the course of a day, I designed and put together a single-page website for a friend and fellow Bitcoiner, who has a novel idea for a new electoral process, named Valuarchy. A single page site to download the explainer PDF and epub. Built in 11ty, with an embedded blink Bitcoin donation widget. Hopefully I'll get the opportunity to build on this further. — Valuarchy
  • Migrated Bitcoin Truthbombs from a WordPress instance to a static site using 11ty and hosted on Netlify. Used a plugin called WordDown to export the posts to markdown files. Had to get to grips with nunjucks which I found a bit of a challenge. The syntax is unfamiliar. Codex helped me out greatly for repetitive tasks.
  • Looked for some opportunities at Bitcoin companies, sent off an application.
  • Learned about Declarative vs Imperative programming.
  • Discovered this cool desktop app for playing with JS - RunJS
  • Introduced myself on the Bitcoin design community on Discord, sat on the call with Mat Balez about the communities initiatives for 2026
  • Further iteration of my mobile screenshot viewer component, as can be seen here
  • Clearing out checklist of mundane personal admin tasks
  • Similarly clearing out the rain soaked, wind battered chaos of our balcony. Piling up the twisted wreckage of the fake bamboo fence into a pile.
